[Sandalphon flushes bright red, refusing to acknowledge that word. It's not like there's any particular meaning to him using it like that, anyway...it's only natural he'd love coffee that Sandalphon put so much time and effort into. After all, that's why he made it.]

If you're going to love it no matter what, should I stop trying? Would you love the common, overbrewed coffee so many mortals lifelessly consume as long as I made it?

[Of course not. No one would, right?]

It's much more rewarding to hear you say that after I feel I've done enough to earn it, as I do today.

[This is...probably as close to a thank you that Izumi is going to get.]

But even on the days it's not up to your standards, I...greatly value your opinions and critiques.

[Swing and a miss. He's trying to get better about the L word too, but it's taking him a little longer.]

Everything you make is delicious, but...

[But Izumi's trying to thank him, he's aware of that much. So he really should pick something. Izumi doesn't eat sweets as part of his diet, and to be honest, Sandalphon's not all that fond of them anyway; something like pancakes would compliment the bitterness of coffee, but if neither of them are that excited about it, it'll just be a mistake.]

Eggs and toast. A...western breakfast?

[He frowns slightly as he says it, unsure he's got the phrasing right. That's not what it's called in the sky realm; it's just one of the various forms breakfast can take, and directions have nothing to do with it, but he knows enough people who call it that that he figures it's worth trying the phrase on Izumi.

...Plus, it still goes pretty well with coffee, so it's a bonus.]
