He rolls out of bed, face still flushed, and throws on some clothes, completing the ensemble with one of the hoodies Izumi had let him buy last time they went shopping. This one almost never sees public use, but it's comfortable, and he wears it on days he can stay in fairly often.
After fussing with a comb just enough to get his hair under control, Sandalphon heads for the kitchen to make coffee. He's seen and even gotten the chance to try some of the modern machinery Duplicity has to offer, and he's been generally impressed with the results, but there's something so comforting about doing everything by hand: roasting the beans, grinding them, using an old-fashioned machine with a fuel flame to heat the water. It's a ritual he's done for thousands of years, and all he has left of Lucifer—how could he possibly change his method now?
He hopes Izumi doesn't think of him as stuck in the past for it, but it's just the way he does things.
The beans Sandalphon is using today are a special blend of his own creation; for all his doubts about holding the title of Supreme Primarch, his ability to hasten the growth of trees has proven most helpful. The coffee he's brewing today has a number of dark notes, with a subtly sweet aftertaste; it's more than capable of standing on its own while being robust enough to withstand being used to make a latte without sacrificing the complexity of its flavor.
